IT'S A CELEBRATION
AMBER
I'm a Clemson Tigers fan, improviser, book nerd, sometimes artist, and high school English teacher. Food and music are my love languages, while laughter is my medicine. Since you guys already know all this, I'll just say how excited I am to celebrate with everyone. I cannot wait to marry my best friend: my twin flame and forever confidant.
BEAU
So much to say and so little space. A man of many nicknames, with terrible jokes and an infectious smile. Eater, gamer, reader, but definitely not a singer. Variety is the spice of life, and I plan (or not-so-plan) my entire life around it. Every new experience (admittedly, it's mostly food) is what I live for. So, when I say this, I do not say it lightly: Amber is the best complement to my life's dish. Let's celebrate that together.
The Meet Cute
Beau and Amber met on the day of the Clemson National Championship game in January 2019. She overheard someone talking about an "Amber beer," thought this conversation HAD to be about her, and introduced herself.
They had an obvious instant spark that quickly found them spending the whole game together.
As their first date, Beau insisted on taking Amber to Todaro's Pizza, once he found out she had never been. He came very prepared with a list of 20 questions to keep the conversation flowing, as if that was necessary for two people who seem to be two sides of the same coin.
The Love Story
With the first date, the rest is history! Within a year, it was clear they were each other's forever person, constantly wanting to be in each other's company and consistently smiling.
They have spent the past 6 years getting closer and closer, becoming a part of each other's families, and maturing from college students to a young family with their pup Noodle. They bring out each other's best, always finding excuses to get silly or to seek adventure. From living in Clemson to going long distance in Chicago to finally landing in Charlotte together, Beau and Amber have been true partners through it all.
The Engagement
Beau spent months planning the perfect surprise for Amber, knowing that it was a moment they had been dreaming about for a while. He also knew he had to be sneaky about it. He told her there was a fraternity event in Clemson where they were going to take a big group picture. When they arrived, he walked her through the Presidential Garden, reminiscing about the first moment they met. When they arrived to one of their favorite spots, right behind her freshmen year dormitory and underneath a beautiful gazebo, he PROPOSED! The nerves were high and both don't remember exactly what beautiful speeches were said, but thankfully he hired a photographer to capture the moment.
Beau then took Amber to a dinner in Greenville to meet up with their parents. Upon entering, he surprised her with all of her favorite people and then some. Definitely one of the best days of their lives.
